Cosmological stochastic Higgs stabilization

Description
Stochastic evolution of an interacting system of the Higgs and a gauge-singlet scalar spectator field during inflation naturally gives rise to an enhanced probability of settling down at the electroweak vacuum even for high-scale inflation models. In addition, subsequent destabilization due to parametric resonance between the Higgs and the singlet field can be avoided in a wide parameter range. A possibility that the singlet field plays a role of dark matter is also argued.
