Subject 2 : Inelastic scattering and transfer reactions

Contents : Reaction mechanisms at low and intermediate energies. Direct nuclear reactions: collective excitations, nucleon transfer, cluster transfer, breakup, etc. Theoretical approaches: cross section and transition amplitude within DWBA and coupled channel approaches; Peculiarity of inelastic reactions with exotic nuclei. Available computational codes for nuclear scattering calculations; Master-class on calculations; Individual home-works.

Subject 3 : Direct reactions

Contents : Background, nucleon transfer, breakup from the view of a three-body (Faddeev ansatz) that should nicely complement Andrey's lecture on DWBA and coupled channels

Subject 4 : Microscopic effective interactions (optical potentials) for scattering from nuclei

Subject : Nuclear astrophysics and structure study using stable and rare isotope beams

Contents : Introduction of nuclear astrophysics related to solar neutrino problem, CNO cycle, HCNO cycle, and rp-process.  Alpha cluster structures for proton-rich nuclei using rare isotope beams. DWBA and R-matrix analysis for extracting structure parameters from experimental data.  Prospect of nuclear astrophysics experiments related to the r-process in Korea.
