Description

I will review the recent paper arXiv 2408.06440. The authors examine the unitarity and analyticity constraints on gravitational EFT in light of the positivity sum rule for the four-point graviton amplitude. They claim to derive the so-called species-type bound, which predicts that the cutoff scale of gravitational EFT must be much lower than the Planck scale when parametrically light species are present.
