Description
In this talk, I will introduce 2403.15536 (Published in PRL on 9 August, 2024), where the authors found that cosmological gravitational particle production of a dark photon field during inflation in the presence of non-minimal coupling to gravity may suffer from an instability which leads to runaway production of high-momentum modes. Therefore the parameter space of the particle mass and non-minimal couplings is strongly constrained.
I also forward a companion paper, 2405.19390, which includes a lot of calculation details, and also a paper 2009.03828, where gravitational particle production of dark photons in the minimal coupled case is discussed.
