DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Jun-Woo Jeoung (The Oskar Klein Centre\, Department
 of Physics\, Stockholm University\, Sweden)\n\nThe axion is a well-motivat
ed hypothetical particle that simultaneously addresses the long-standing s
trong CP problem and the dark matter puzzle. Recent cosmological simulatio
ns favor higher-mass axions\, particularly in the mass range above 40 ueV
within post-inflationary scenarios. The plasma haloscope is a novel concep
t designed to search for such high-mass axions by leveraging plasmonic res
onance inside a wire-metamaterial resonator immersed in a strong magnetic
field. The Axion Longitudinal Plasma HAloscope (ALPHA) is an international
collaboration established to realize plasma haloscopes sensitive to the Q
CD axion parameter space\, with Stockholm University serving as one of its
leading institutions. Our group co-drives the development of the tuanable
metamaterial resonator for the collaboration. In this talk\, I will prese
nt our recent progress and ongoing efforts toward high-mass axion searches
  via plasma haloscopes.\n\nhttps://indico.ibs.re.kr/event/1430/
