12:30 - 14:00
Room: 56-521
Addressing key science questions at the dawn of the 21st century, I will introduce the hot and cold QCD to motivate the EIC hadron physics. Genesis of atomic and nuclear structure studies will be discussed to follow up with the progress toward the nuclear 3D tomography for the femtometer scale imaging of hadrons.

QCD and Light-Front Dynamics
Chueng-Ryong Ji
16:00 - 17:00
Room: 56-521
Contrasting QED and QCD for the relativistic quantum field theoretic approach, I will present the link between the first principle QCD and the self-consistent light-front quark model for the EIC hadron physics. Quark mass gap equation and solution will be exemplified and the EIC hadron phenomenology will be discussed.

Proton and Pion Structure Studies

16:00 - 17:00
Room: 56-321
Motivating the bigger picture of QCD, I will demonstrate the dichotomy of pion and the puzzle of proton. Flavor asymmetry of proton sea will be exemplified to discuss the nonanalytic behavior of QCD chiral dynamics and the future prospect of the light-front quark model phenomenology for the EIC hadron physics.
