Extra dimensional models offer the unique possibility of unifying the Higgs boson with gauge bosons, thus employing gauge symmetries in the bulk to protect its mass against radiative corrections. I will discuss the effect of the running of gauge and Yukawa couplings on this class of models, showing that correctly taking into account the running can soften the severephenomenological problems of this class of models
