Description

An update is presented on progress towards realising a direction sensitive WIMP dark matter detector called CYGNUS with eventual sensitivity to probe below the neutrino floor. Latest R&D and simulations are presented towards underpinning sensitivity in this region, including new work on use of SF6+He4 gas mixtures to allow sensitivity in the low WIMP mass regime with both direction sensitivity and electron recoil discrimination.
