Exploring the String Axiverse with Black Holes

We present the first analysis of axions derived from Calabi-Yau geometries extracted from the Kreuzer-Skarke database: the so-called KS Axiverse. Using this large ensemble of derived axion spectra and astrophysical black hole measurements, we are able to make an unprecedented step toward excluding string geometries.
