13th International Geant4 Tutorial in Korea 2026

Science Culter Center, Institute for Basic Science

The Geant4 developer team (Sebastièn Incerti, Luis Sarmiento Pico, Alexei Sytov, and Hoang Tran) will visit Korea on November 30 - December 4 for a tutorial focused on Geant4 for beginners and intermediate. During this tutorial, we intent to have bidirectional information exchange between Geant4 team and Korean users. The venue for the tutorial is Science Culture Center at Institute for Basic Science, at Daejeon, South Korea.

Important Notice

This tutorial is intended primarily for novice users and requires basic knowledge of C++. It will combine plenary lectures with hands-on sessions, using the Geant4 Virtual Machine for VMware software.

Participants are invited to download the virtual machine to their own computers in advance (for Geant4 version 11.4.2 and VMware software, for Mac or Windows).

It requires VMware software. Please see the instructions here:

Alternatively, in case of difficulty accessing the above software, we will provide on-site access to the Virtual Machine and VMware software.

We will also check during the first morning that the Virtual Machine installed on your computer is working as expected.
