Description

The 3rd TOPTIER Symposium

We are pleased to announce that the Third TOPTIER Symposium will be held at Maison Glad Jeju in Jeju, Korea, from August 2 to 5, 2026.

The TOPTIER Project is a joint initiative between Korea’s RAON facility at the Institute for Rare Isotope Science (IRIS), Institute for Basic Science (IBS), and Japan’s RIKEN Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory (RIBF), with support from Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT). The project aims to advance rare isotope science by fostering close international collaboration and promoting the development of cutting-edge technologies for the production and study of extremely rare isotopes.

Building on the success of the previous symposiums, the Third TOPTIER Symposium will bring together researchers and collaborators to share recent scientific and technical progress, exchange new ideas, and discuss future directions for the TOPTIER Project. The symposium will also provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen the growing partnership between the Korean and Japanese rare isotope science communities.

We warmly welcome all participants to Jeju and look forward to productive discussions, new ideas, and continued collaboration as we work together to explore the frontiers of extremely rare isotope science.

This work was supported by the Institute for Basic Science (IBS-I001-01/IBS-R031-D1), the National Research Foundation of Korea(NRF) funded by Ministry of Science and ICT(RS-2024-00436392)
