[JC] Perturbative QCD Prediction of the Hyperon Electric Dipole Moment from CP-Violating Dipole Interactions

In this talk, I will introduce arXiv:2509.22087 (Published in PRL on 4 Feb,2026), where the authors develop a pQCD factorization framework for the high-energy Λ hyperon EDM form factor measured in (J /\ psi --> Λ \bar{Λ} ).

The central observation is that BESIII constrains the time-like form factor (dΛ(Q=M_{J /\ psi})), rather than the static EDM (dΛ(0)). By matching quark EDM and chromo-EDM operators onto hard kernels convoluted with Λ twist-3 LCDAs, the authors show that the Λ EDM provides a direct and complementary probe of the strange-quark chromo-EDM.
