Focus Meeting on: "Exotic Top Partners"
TeV scale partners of top quarks occur in many Standard Model extensions which address the hierarchy problem (e.g. Supersymmetry, Composite Higgs, Little Higgs, Twin Higgs, Randall-Sundrum models). The LHC experiments perform dedicated searches for supersymmetric as well as for vectorlike top partners in their simplest realizations and in the most common search channels, with no conclusive sign of new physics in these channels, yet. Does naturalness fail or are we missing something? With years of data at the LHC ahead, there is increased interest and efforts in both the experimental and theoretical communities to explore possible models and new signatures of top partners – and potentially partners of other Standard Model particles – systematically.
The focus meeting “Exotic Top Partners” aims to bring together experts from theory and model-building, from phenomenology and computational tool development, and from the LHC experiments in order to discuss top partner models and searches, and to develop a common approach and effort for future top partner physics.
We provide a productive, informal setting to discuss the status and developments in the field, and to form new collaborations amongst the participants, with special focus on collaborations between members of different communities, as well as between Korean and international researchers.
