Description

I will review the recent geometric constructions of 6d SCFTs with eight supercharges and discuss how to determine various interesting physical properties from the geometric perspective. Compactification of such theories can give rise to superconformal field theories in lower dimensions. I will discuss some recent results in 4d and 5d SCFTs from this approach.
