Description

Ultra-light dark matter is a rising star on the dark matter stage. This dark matter is typically considered to be a (pseudo)scalar field, but an even richer phenomenology can be realised for vector (spin 1) or tensor (spin 2) fields. In this talk I will discuss simulations of merging solitons with spin 1 and spin 2 and highlight the differences with the spin 0 case. In particular, I will focus on the spin density profile of the resulting soliton and what that would mean for future detection prospects.
