Kohsaku Tobioka, 2-to-4 Vector Boson Scattering for Higgs self-couplings

Asia/Seoul
Description

Abstract:  Measuring the Higgs self-couplings remains a major open challenge. Current measurements have uncertainties exceeding 100% for the cubic coupling, and the uncertainties are even larger for the quartic coupling. Unlike conventional approaches based on di-Higgs or tri-Higgs production, this work investigates high-energy vector boson scattering (VBS) processes. I will explain why 2-to-3 and higher-point VBS is of interest, particularly in the context of perturbative unitarity violation, and argue that 2-to-4 scattering could serve as a competitive probe at future colliders.
