Travel to IBS
Booking Your KTX Ticket Online
It is highly recommended to book your ticket in advance, especially for weekend travel.
1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the official LetsKorail website for foreigners (www.letskorail.com) or download the Korail Talk mobile app (available in English).
2. Select Travel Details:
- Departure: Seoul (서울) [Note: Make sure to select "Seoul", not Yongsan, though some KTX trains do depart from Yongsan Station]
- Arrival: Daejeon (대전)
- Date & Time: Choose your preferred schedule.
3. Choose Your Train: Select a KTX train (avoid ITX-Saemaeul or Mugunghwa
unless you want a much slower 2-hour trip).
4. Payment & Ticket: Enter your passport and credit card information. Once paid, print out the e-ticket or save the QR code on your mobile app. You do not need to exchange this for a paper ticket at the station.
How to get to Toyoko Inn Daejeon Government Complex Front from Daejeon Station:
1. Go to the Daejeon Station subway entrance.
2. Take Subway Line 1 heading toward Banseok.
3. Ride for 7 stops and get off at Government Complex Daejeon Station.
4. Go out through Exit 4.
5. Walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see the hotel on your right.
How to get to Toyoko Inn from IBS:
1. Walk from IBS to the IBS/Hanbit Tower (IBS/한빛탑) Bus Stop.
2. Take Bus No. 705 or Bus No. 121.
3. Get off at the Government Complex Daejeon (정부대전청사역) Station or Dunsan Police Station (둔산경찰서) bus stop, depending on the bus route (it takes about 10–15 minutes).
4. Walk for about 5 minutes toward the hotel.
