Description
In this talk, I will discuss an ultra-violet (UV) completion of a composite Higgs model. I will first remind the motivations and basics features of the composite Higgs dynamics, in particular the emergence from the condensation of a new strong dynamics of a naturally light pseudo-Nambu Goldstonne Higgs boson. Then, I will explain the necessicity to explicitly construct an UV completion and I will consider the minimal model based on the SU(4)/Sp(4) pattern of sy! mmetry breaking. This model is a vector-like Sp(2N) gauge theory of fermions that confines at the multi-TeV scale and that realizes the Higgs particle as a composite Goldstone boson. Among other things, I will present few general results about the strong dynamics like the Vafa-Witten theorem and the ‘t Hooft anomaly matching. I will also present the non-perturbative computation (in the NJL framework) of the mass spectrum of the composite mesons in the approximation where the strong dynamics is described by four-fermion operators. The obtained spectrum allows to identify the expected lightest resonances which could be observed at the LHC or at future colliders.
