VISA, K-ETA, Q-code
Let us know if you need official invitation letter for the VISA application.
K-ETA
You may need to apply for the K-eta before your departure. Visitors from VISA-free contries may still need an approval of electronic travel authorization (ETA). We strongly recommend to apply for it no later than one week before the departure.
Check for the eligibility in the website of Korean Immigration Service.
** K-ETA is temporarily exempted for the following countries:
Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Taiwan, Denmark, Germany, Macau, Unite States, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Singapore, United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, Japan, Canada, Poland, France, Finland, Australia, Hong Kong
Q-code
Q-code (click HERE) is required for all visitors. You can fill out this at ICN but you could fill out the online form 2-3 days before your departure to save time at ICN. Once you are done, you will have an email notification with QR code, which you will need to show immigration officer at ICN.

It takes several bus stops (or roughly 45 min walking, 3km) from the hotel to KAIST campus (Nov 14, Tue - 16, Thur). It takes 5 min by walk to IBS Science and Culture Center (Nov 17, Fri).

From Airport to Lotte City Hotel
From Airport to Daejeon
- By Bus : Bus stops are located in both terminal 1 and terminal 2 in Incheon airport (ICN). Bus departs every 20 min from terminal 2 and stops by terminal 1, and then non-stop to Daejeon. It takes roughly 2:30 - 3 hrs depending on the traffic. Most buses are spacious and comfortable.
- By Train : You first need to go to Seoul train station by AREX Express (takes roughly 0.5 - 1 hrs depending on whether it is express or not). From Seoul train station, you need to take KTX train (see below about how to buy ticket) to Daejeon train station (takes 1 hr). From Daejeon train station, you can take a TAXI to Lotte City Hotel.

- Seoul train station to Daejeon train station : KTX train ticket can be purchased in HERE or it can be purchased at KIOSK inside Seoul train station. (buying a few days in advance is recommended in case you travel around traffic hours, e.g. 4 pm - 8 pm). Please contact to us if you need any help.
