CTPU Joint Tea Time

Asia/Seoul
Description

Two CTPU groups (CGA, PTC) will start a joint tea-time on May 27 (Mon).
The purpose of these monthly events is for the two groups to exchange research and socialize.
We will have 30-minute presentations by one person from each research group in the CTPU seminar room at 10:30 am, followed by a 15 minute discussion, and then a light meal in the discussion area in front of the seminar room at 12:00 pm. We invite everyone to join us.

Spacetime-symmetry breaking - theoretical introduction and recent results 35m

In this talk, I will first introduce the notion of spacetime-symmetry breaking. Focusing on the gravity sector, I will review the the theoretical concepts involved as well as introduce a generic effective-field theory framework used to parametrise such symmetry breaking. Finally, I will show some recent results using gravitational waves and other gravitational phenomenology.

      Speaker: Nils Albin Nilsson (CTPU-CGA)
