Inflation and primordial black holes as the source of dark matter and gravitational waves

by Prof. Sergey Ketove (Tokyo Metropolitan University)

Description

The basic models of cosmological inflation (Starobinsky and Higgs) will be reviewed and compared. The production mechanisms of primordial black holes in viable single-field and multi-field models of inflation will be briefly described, together with their extensions to supergravity. Implications for dark matter, dark energy and gravitational waves, as well as possible connections to the Standard Model, will be outlined.
