IC card for public transport
We recommend that you get one of the IC cards “PASMO” or “Suica” at the airport when you arrive if you don’t have one yet. These IC cards are available in the RIKEN cafeteria, but credit cards and cash are not. Also, the cards are available for transport from the airport to RIKEN by train. These cards allow you to comfortable train transfer in Japan. Otherwise, you will have to buy tickets for each of the many transfers you make during your Tokyo stay.
For short-term travelers in Japan, the Welcome Suica is likely to be convenient. You can get the card at Haneda Airport and Narita Airport. If you are interested in it, please see the
