Welcome to the XQCD 2026 PhD School
The 2026 XQCD PhD school is an accompanying event to the 22nd International Conference on QCD in Extreme Conditions (XQCD 2026).
The school will take place from July 12 to July 13, 2026, at the CEO Hall Miraegwan, Pukyong National University (PKNU), Busan, Republic of Korea. Registration is possible via the registration page of the XQCD 2026 conference.
The school will feature four block lectures 2 x 90 min, given by internationally recognized theoretical physicists, covering cutting-edge research topics centred on recent advances in the theory and phenomenology of QCD under extreme conditions, providing an in-depth review of these fields for PhD students before the XQCD conference.
PhD School Program
This year's edition will cover the following topics (tentative):
- Prof. Gert Aarts (Swansea University)
Diffusion models for lattice field theory - Prof. Kenji Fukushima (University of Tokyo)
What can we learn about QCD and related physics from astrophysical observations? - Prof. Alexander Rothkopf (Korea University)
Non-equilibrium and Open Quantum Systems - Prof. Sungwoo Park (Sejong University)
Lattice QCD from gauge fields to physical observables
