Daejeon is located in the heart of South Korea, approximately 160 km south of Seoul, which is served daily by most major airlines. There are two airports nearby: Incheon International Airport (ICN) and Seoul/Gimpo International Airport (GMP). We recommend either of these options. Cheongju International Airport (CJJ) is closer to Daejeon but offers fewer flights and limited transit options to Daejeon.
1) ICN → Daejeon
From Incheon, you have two transportation options to Daejeon. We recommend booking your tickets well in advance due to high demand and limited availability close to travel dates.
By Bus:
Take the limousine bus from ICN to Daejeon Bus Terminal. Although it takes a bit longer than the train, it is simpler.
Airport Limousine:
Choose Chungcheong → Daejeon (get off at the government complex) or Daejeon SW (get off at Yuseong). The fare is approximately 26 USD.
First Bus: Terminal 1 at 6:20 / Terminal 2 at 6:00
Last Bus: Terminal 1 at 22:50 / Terminal 2 at 22:30

Take the AREX train from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station (via Gimpo Airport). At Seoul Station, you can choose the KTX (Korea's "Bullet Train") to Daejeon Station.

2) GMP → Daejeon
By Train:
Take the AREX train from Gimpo Airport to Seoul Station. From Seoul Station, you can choose the KTX to Daejeon Station.
• Airport Railroad (AREX) to Seoul Station
Gimpo International Airport Station, located across the street from the airport. Please ensure you enter the correct gate as the station serves multiple subway lines. Tickets can be purchased at the station. The fare is approximately 5 USD. Trains leave roughly every 7 minutes and have seats like traditional subways. The journey takes around 20 minutes. First train leaves at 5:43 AM, and the last train departs at 12:17 AM.

3) Transportation in Daejeon
Upon arrival at Daejeon Station, you can take a taxi to your hotel. The taxi stand is located in front of the station. A typical taxi ride from Daejeon Station to the Expo-ro region costs around 10 USD.
