I will describe how to consistently perform amplitude calculations within EFT - construction of Lagrangian and operator basis,
physical field identification, reparametrization issues, gauge fixing selection and example of renormalization scheme choice.
I will discuss application of such procedure using the example of h->2 photon decay in SMEFT.
Time permitting, I will present also how to automate analytical or Monte Carlo calculations in SMEFT using the SmeftFR package.
