Description
The main theme of the Center for Underground Physics (CUP) at Institute for Basic Science (IBS) is to search the dark matter and neutrino-less double beta decays. I will describe the astrophysical aspects of these two programs. In addition to these programs, I will discuss about the recent short baseline reactor neutrino experiment (NEOS) for sterile neutrino searches and the astrophysical consequences of the result. CUP also has facilities for ultra-low background measurements, and conduct a few search experiments for rare nuclear decays and will describe the relevance to the astrophysics.
