Before the conference, we organize two lab tours to the 4-PW laser facility at Center for Relativistic Laser Science (CoReLS):
- Lab tour 1: Sep. 17 (Sat), 12:45-14:30
- Lab tour 2: Sep. 18 (Sun), 12:45-14:30
As the center is located in another city, Gwangju, you should come to Gwangju then move to Jeju. The people who enter Korea through Incheon Airport can choose one of the following 2 courses to Gwangju.
- Course 1: Incheon Airport → Gimpo Airport → Gwangju Airport (45 min by train + 1 h by plane)
Train from Incheon Airport to Gimpo Airport (45 min) and then flight (1 hr).
At Incheon Airport, go to B1 to get on a Airport Railroad train. Buy a ticket from the vending machines around. The fare is 4,850 KRW. Get off the train at Gimpo Airport station.
At Gimpo Airport, go to 2F, where the airline desks are located.
At Gwangju Airport, get on a taxi and show the instruction to the driver. (INSTRUCTION LINK). Upon arrival, the taxi fare (< 20,000 KRW) will appear on a screen in the taxi.
- Course 2: Incheon Airport → Gwangju Bus Terminal (U-Square) (4 hrs by bus)
Express bus. The bus makes a 15-min stop at a rest area; no toilet in the bus.
The fare is 43,800 KRW for the premium class and 36,300 KRW for the normal class. The premium-class bus provides a business-class-like seats.
At Terminal 1 of Incheon Airport, the bus stop is located near Gate 12 on 1F, and the ticket booth is located between Gate 7 and Gate 8. Departure time at Terminal 1: 7:55*, 8:55*, 9:55, 10:55, 15:25*, 17:25, 19:55, 21:55* (*: the premium-class).
At Terminal 2 of Incheon Airport, the bus stop is located near Gate 8 on B1, and the ticket booth is located in the waiting hall on B1. Departure time at Terminal 2: 7:30*, 8:30*, 9:30, 10:30, 15:00*, 17:00, 19:30, 21:30* (*: the premium-class).
At Gwangju Bus Terminal (U-Square), the taxi stops are located near Gate 4 and Gate 5. Show the instruction to the driver (INSTRUCTION LINK). Upon arrival, the taxi fare (< 20,000 KRW) will appear on a screen in the taxi.
The people who enter Korea through Gimpo Airport can use the second half of Course 1 above. At Gimpo Airport, they should move from the international terminal to the domestic terminal by using the free shuttle bus, available at Gate 5 on 2F at the international terminal.
After the lab tour, you should go to Gwangju Airport to move to Jeju. We will call a taxi for you. Available flights are as follows:
- On Sep. 17, 15:45 (JinAir), 17:40 (Korean Air), 18:25 (t'way), 18:30 (JEJUair), 19:20 (ASIANA), 20:35 (JinAir)

It will be O.K. if you arrive at Gwangju Airport 30 minutes before departure. It takes less than 25 minutes from the facility to the airport by taxi.
