Description

The IBS-ICTP Workshop on Axion-Like Particles is a joint project between IBS-CTPU and ICTP particle theory group.

Recently, various computational tools and new theoretical/experimental ways have been developed to understand the phenomenology of the QCD axion and axion-like particles. The purpose of this IBS-ICTP joint focus workshop is to encourage young researchers/experts in a collaborative environment to discuss together recent progress on the subject and to develop new ideas to understand the dark aspects of the Universe.  The topic will cover astrophysical bounds on ALP and anomalies, the abundance and substructure of axion dark matter, BH superradiance and its observational effects, and also phenomenological model building of axion/axion-like particles.

The Institute for Basic Science (IBS), comprises 30 centers, including three experimental and theoretical ones on particle physics and cosmology:

The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) comprises
several sections working on different fields of theoretical physics and
mathematics including
- The High Energy, Cosmology, and Astroparticle (HECAP)
